A new tweak now available for all you jailbroken iPhone owners, called “YourTube”, allows you to download YouTube videos to your iPhone or iPod Touch, from within the native YouTube app. This is not an extra app on your homescreen, this is a tweak to the official YouTube.app. This comes from one of our beloved iPhone Dev Team members, “copumpkin”.

This seems like it has always been there. When you’ve finished viewing a video in the YouTube app, you’ll notice a new download icon in the upper right of the screen. Tap it to download the video. If available, you will be asked to download in High Quality or Low Quality.

Once downloaded, you just go to “My Downloads”, another new icon in the YouTube app, and you can playback your videos from there. The quality is great, (depending on the video), and you can save your videos to playback whenever you want, wether you’re connected to the internet or not.

“YourTube” is available now, in the Cydia Store, for only $2.00. A definite 5 out of 5 for this one, and worth much more than two bucks. Go get now!
