The Globe and Mail reported today that the new GSM network created by Bell and Telus, is ready to go, and that they will start offering the iPhone next month.

Great news for Canadians who want the iPhone, but did not want to sign with Rogers. We will most likely see rates fall with Rogers, as they have some competition now.
